Welcome to WineMe. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using WineMe, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Account Registration

To use WineMe, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age — WineMe is an alcohol-related app and is not available to anyone under 21
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain only one account per person
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential

Subscriptions and Payments

WineMe offers premium subscriptions managed through Apple In-App Purchases. All billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processes are governed by Apple's terms and policies. You can manage your subscription through your device's Settings.

User Content

You retain all rights to the content you create on WineMe, including your wine ratings, tasting notes, and reviews. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the app's social features.

Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Behavior

WineMe has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This applies to everything another person can see — your display name, your username, your profile photo, your tasting notes and reviews, the photos you attach to a rating, and how you behave toward other members. You may not post, upload, or share:

• Harassment or bullying — targeting, threatening, intimidating, or repeatedly contacting someone who does not want to hear from you
• Hate speech — attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age
• Sexual or pornographic content — nudity, sexually explicit imagery, or sexually suggestive material
• Any content involving or sexualizing minors — reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, without exception
• Violent, graphic, or self-harm content
• Impersonation — pretending to be another person, a winery, a business, or a WineMe representative
• Spam or scams — bulk or repetitive posting, unsolicited promotion, phishing, or fraudulent offers
• Illegal content — including the unlicensed sale of alcohol or the sale of alcohol to anyone under 21

Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation

Every member has tools to act on objectionable content directly, without waiting for us:

• Report — any profile, rating, or photo can be reported from the app, with a reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, impersonation, or other) and optional details. A tasting note travels with the rating it belongs to, so reporting the rating reports the note
• Block — you can block any user from their profile. Blocking immediately ends any friendship between you and hides that person from your search results, feed, and friend lists in both directions
• Automated screening — every photo uploaded to a rating is scanned automatically before it becomes visible to anyone. A photo that does not pass is never shown to another user. Display names, usernames, and tasting notes are also screened for prohibited language at the moment they are submitted

We review every report and act on it within 24 hours. Acting may mean removing the content, restricting or terminating the account responsible, or both. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at any time, without notice and at our sole discretion, when we determine these Terms have been violated. A terminated account may not create a new one.

Acceptable Use

In addition to the content rules above, you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure
• Evade a block, a suspension, or a termination, including by creating a new account

Wine Information Disclaimer

All wine information, recommendations, and AI-generated content on WineMe is for informational and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute medical, legal, or professional advice. Please drink responsibly and in accordance with local laws.

Delivery Services

Any wine delivery services referenced or facilitated through WineMe are provided by third-party partners. WineMe does not sell, ship, or deliver alcohol directly. All purchases and deliveries are subject to the terms of the respective delivery provider and applicable local laws.

Intellectual Property

The WineMe name, logo, branding, design, and underlying technology are the property of WineMe and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our prior written consent.

Copyright Complaints and Designated Agent

WineMe respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). If you believe content on WineMe infringes your copyright, send a written notice with the information required by the DMCA to our designated agent:

This agent is also registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration No. DMCA-1077776). We may remove allegedly infringing content and, in appropriate cases, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Termination

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or the app. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings.

Limitation of Liability

WineMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
